Han Seon Lee, Class of 2016
Hi, students and teachers. My name is Han Seon Lee. I am currently living in Australia. I am a chiropractor working in a multi-location and multidisciplinary team.
IB diploma opens doors to many institutions worldwide and is a globally recognized program. It initiates the journey of making wise decisions and giving your best. You will need to choose subjects wisely, study, and finish a series of assignments, and I assure you it will challenge you. There were two takeaways for me after the intense course. It guided me to think critically and gave me the valuable experience of finishing a challenging course.
The theory of knowledge was most challenging for me as English was my second language, and the studies seemed ambiguous. Once I grew up and had a better understanding, I saw how exploring the essence of knowledge can help you drive deeper into the area you are interested in.
The memory of you collaborating with friends, asking questions to the teacher to perfect your essay, and studying overnight to load as much information in your brain as possible. These experiences will prepare you for what life will bring to you. I want to encourage students who are average or even below average academically.
I was one of you who could have been better. Occasionally, I was late for submissions and did not study in advance, while other IB diploma students did. But I did not give up and kept pushing myself to finish what I started. If I can do it, you can do it. Through the IB diploma certificate, I was accepted into Macquarie University and earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chiropractic. The IB Diploma is a solid program to start your journey of following your passion.
